Nice shot. I must admit I am surprised to not see people in this photo. My perception of NY is that there are always millions of people milling around day and night.

Wow, haven't seen a brown ice rink :P kidding aside, I don't really like the composition because I wouldn't know it was an ice rink until you mentioned it. And you positioned the horizon of the image dead center which makes it look quite uneasy. Keep shooting :)
